Soldiers kill top B’Haram commander, camera man in Borno

Troops from Operation Hadin Kai have eliminated a senior Boko Haram commander known as Ibn Khalid, along with several other fighters, during coordinated military operations across remote communities in Borno State. This marks a significant blow to the group’s leadership structure.
In Gwoza Local Government Area, soldiers encountered an attempted infiltration at Bitta, where they thwarted the militants’ advance with superior firepower. Among the dead were Ibn Khalid and the insurgency’s cameraman, who was reportedly present to document the operation. Military forces recovered weapons, ammunition, logistics supplies—and a camcorder—from the site.
Additionally, operations in regions like Sambisa Forest, Madagali, and Kaga led to the neutralization of at least 17 more terrorists, along with the seizure of motorcycles and other gear. These actions were confirmed by Captain Reuben Kovangiya, Acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations under the Theatre Command in Maiduguri aa.com.tr+15vanguardngr.com+15thecable.ng+15.
The federal military high command has praised the troops for their gallantry and urged them to maintain momentum in the fight against insurgency in the Northeast
