PDP will come fourth in 2027 general election – Fayose
I couldn’t find any credible statement where Ayo Fayose explicitly said the PDP would come fourth in the 2027 general election. What is true is that Fayose has delivered several candid critiques of his own party’s internal dynamics:
- He warned that unless urgent reforms are made, the PDP could become a “carcass” due to internal crisis and defections
- He has strongly rejected the idea of a coalition to oppose Tinubu in 2027, calling it “a dead horse” due to lack of support from PDP governors and national stakeholders.
- He has also reiterated that he would actively oppose Atiku Abubakar if he decides to run again under the PDP ticket in 2027—just as he did during the 2023 primary.
So while Fayose has delivered some grim assessments about PDP’s future, especially in the absence of structural reforms, he has not publicly claimed that the party will finish fourth in the 2027 election cycle.
