A recent video circulating online showing former Vice President Atiku Abubakar declaring confidence in clinching the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential ticket has been described as outdated by his media aide.
In a statement released Monday, the aide clarified that the footage is from a previous election cycle and does not reflect current political developments. The aide accused critics of deliberately sharing the old clip to stir unnecessary controversy ahead of the 2027 elections.
He added that Atiku remains committed to strengthening the PDP and promoting democratic values, but no official declarations have been made regarding his political ambitions for 2027.
