The Nigerian Senate has addressed growing speculations about an alleged rift between Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele, firmly stating that there is no division within its leadership.
In an official statement released on Monday, the Senate dismissed reports of tension or rivalry as “mere fabrications”, asserting that both Akpabio and Bamidele continue to work in close collaboration for the progress of the 10th National Assembly.
“There is no crack in our ranks. The Senate remains united under the leadership of Senator Akpabio,” the statement read.
