The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) has launched a new digital platform, Investopedia, aimed at boosting investment opportunities across the country’s 36 states.
According to the Forum, the initiative will serve as a one-stop hub for investors, providing key information on each state’s economic potential, business environment, policies, and incentives. The platform is designed to make it easier for both local and foreign investors to access data, explore opportunities, and make informed decisions about doing business in Nigeria.
Speaking at the unveiling, NGF Chairman and Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq said the project reflects the Forum’s commitment to driving economic growth through transparency and collaboration. He noted that states would now be able to showcase their unique investment prospects in sectors such as agriculture, technology, manufacturing, real estate, and energy.
The NGF expressed optimism that Investopedia would enhance competitiveness, attract foreign direct investment (FDI), and create jobs, ultimately strengthening Nigeria’s subnational economies.
